What is Bee Pollen?
Bee pollen is a super food that checks almost all human and animal-required nutrients off the list. Bee pollen is considered one of nature’s most complete foods. It is roughly 40% protein, with half of this being made up of amino acids that you and your pet’s bodies will use and benefit from directly.
Now, what this means to you and your furbabies is boosted immunity, allergy prevention and maintenance and a whole lot of healthy nutrients in your diet. These include: proteins, amino acids, B-complex vitamins, folic acid and enzymes. Bee pollen will stabilize your cholesterol and triglyceride levels too. Bee pollen works to increase you and your pets’ high-density lipoproteins and get rid of low-density lipoproteins.
Did You Know: Body fat content is made up mostly of triglycerides.
Bee Pollen: Some Tips & Tricks
Goes well with… Bee pollen pairs well with Activation’s Ocean’s Alive, featured at The Bone.
Keep it fresh…If you use bee pollen, it is advised to keep it in a fridge or freezer to increase the effect and quality of the product, making it last longer. We keep it in the freezer at The Bone because fresh pollen is tough to acquire and the health benefits are so immense, especially when compared to dry pollen. Fresh pollen has a mildly sweet taste and a chewy texture.
Does not go well with bee allergies…If you are allergic to bees, wasps or hornets, it is advised to avoid bee pollen – at least until you have had an allergy test and consulted a health practitioner.
